We have just taken our 311 out to find no prop anode, it usually lasts the year. There has been quite a lot of electrolytic damage; the nut that holds the prop on has just crumbled and the s/s prop shaft has been blackened and damaged on the end. Our question is; this is the only anode on the boat and we are looking at putting on a second anode possibly on the shaft as the new shaft is being made so a 3/4" will fit or do we fit a thru' hull anode? We think we have found the cause of the damage, a broken earth wire from the heater. :'(
Have any other Beneteau owners had similar problems, or put on extra anodes. We have always thought it unusual to have just the one anode?
