Magic furling crusing chute bowsprit?

Well last year we decided on a calm day to get the Cruising chute out with snuffer and put it up! and away we went, all was good! Till trying to snuff it! As the wind was getting up! Yes bad language and the chute wrapped round the front of the boat! So it was put in its hiding hole under our bunk or is it bed lol till I saw and advert for Magic Furl by Crusader Sails Poole so off to said loft and purchased the equipment and patch sewn on to my chute total cost about £1200 ish with lines back to the cockpit so I can deploy it on my own so off to Cowes again and magic! it works a treat but ... on putting the shute in it catches on the furled genoa, so a short bowsprit is required Iv looked at the clip on ones and they all seem to get in the way of the anchor locker and it can't be opened if bowsprit is deployed ??? any Ideas
